Sleep Apnea and Diabetes

I just read an interesting tid-bit of information today laying out the idea that roughly 40 percent of the diabetic community suffers from sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder that causes pauses in breathing during sleep. The problems for both issues is that they each have their own set of serious health concerns. Now if you are diabetic, and you happen to suffer from sleep apnea as well, I would suggest purchasing a CPAP mask to regulate your breathing at night while adopting a (physician approved) workout regimen to increase your health. Watching what you eat and limiting the amount of fatty foods as well as excess carbohydrates can also play a significant role in your body’s fight against sleep apnea and diabetes.
